Pop Media takes you on a road trip this summer to discover pop-up stores
Pop Media, a media network specialized in experiential outdoor media focused on event displays and pop-up stores.
This summer, full speed ahead towards Knokke with Mercedes-Benz and Volvo
For the 4th consecutive year, Mercedes-Benz has entrusted Pop Media with the task of finding the best pop-up store location in Knokke to set up its summer quarters. After a very successful 2018 edition at the One Carlton site, Mercedes-Benz, in close collaboration with Pop Media, has decided to take over the site once again. The Mercedes-Benz SummerStore, located along the dike and at the corner of Albert Square, was open during July and August. Knokke holidayers discovered 3 flagship models: the smart edition pureblack, the A35 AMG and the EQC 400 4MATIC 1886 Edition.
Volvo’s presence also did not go unnoticed at Knokke this summer. Along the dike, Volvo set up an ephemeral installation with viewing spaces to showcase an exclusive selection of cars. Those interested were able to enjoy the large terrace with a breath-taking view of the beach.
The search for the location, the authorizations and administrative procedures as well as the covering of nearly 200 m² on the facade gables are to Pop Media’s credit. The media house also coordinated the production and construction of a 250 m² platform mounted 6 metres high to accommodate the installation of Volvo’s Viewer boxes.
The pop-up store maintained a terrace throughout the summer and also hosted some events for their customers.
DIMITRI VEGAS & LIKE MIKE – NEW VIBRATIONS AT MEIR
This summer, the famous brothers and DJs Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike once again established their residence in the heart of Meir in Antwerp. In search of an extraordinary, spacious and crowded location, their choice focused on Meir 52, the iconic store that once hosted the Esprit sign at Wapper Square. The pop-up store was completely redesigned in & out for two months to showcase the DV & LM universe. Fans were able to (re)discover their music and clothing line.
Pop Media was responsible for the search for this site, for all the administrative aspects related to the ephemeral rental of the space as well as for the exterior cladding of the building, which was entirely wrapped in a giant 400 m² tarpaulin.
